Joanne Coughlin is a contemporary artist who has been creating art in one form or another since she was a teenager. Growing up in Quebec city she began painting landscapes in oil and now works mostly in acrylic.
Although mostly self taught she has completed a variety of courses and art workshops over the years at The Ottawa School of Art and from a number of accomplished artists in Canada and the USA.
Her passion is coulour and she draws her inspiration from nature’s ever changing palette. Painting is her first love however her recent training in sculpting and pottery have added a greater dimension to her work.
Now retired, from a successful career in the Aviation industry she lives on a lake with her husband and Barley, her Golden Doodle. You can find her in her studio above the garage, when she is not travelling or visiting family out of town.
